This is the fourth movement of "Cavatina", a guitar partita composed by the french-polish composer Alexandre Tansman around 1950/51. Barcarole, bacarola in italian, is a typical folk song of venetian gondoliers.The rhythm, in 6/8, is reminiscent of the gondolier's stroke. A sweet and graceful music. This video was recorded today.
