Wang Yameng은 1981년 11월 2일, 산동성 청도에서 출생 하였으며, 10살때부터 Chen Zhi 교수의 문하에서 엄격한 기타 교육을 받게 된다.
이것은 청도~북경을 매주 왕복하는 40시간의 기차 여행을 감수하며 이루어진
2년간의 노력끝에, 12살의 어린 Wang 은 이미 최고 연주자의 수준에 올라서게 되며, 1993년 12월 중순, 제 36회 동경 국제 기타콩쿨에 도전한다.
이 콩쿨에서는, 10개국이 넘는 나라에서 무려 52명의 잘 훈련된 기타리스트들이 참가한 대회였으며, (캐나다,프랑스,미국,이탈리아,독일,일본,한국,말레이시아,대만 등등) 국제기타콩쿨 사상 최연소 우승 및 첫 도전 우승이라는 2개의 타이틀을 수립,갱신하며 대상을 차지하여, 세계를 놀라게 한다.
1993년 북경을 방문한 존 윌리암스는 Wang Yameng의 재능에 크게 놀라워하며, 자신이 사용하는 기타를 (그렉 스몰맨) 그녀에게 선물하는 파격적인 모습을 보였으며, 호주로 돌아간 그는 또한대의 스몰맨을 북경에 보내어 천쯔교수 또 다른 제자 양쉐페이에게도 선물하는 감동적인 모습을 보이기도 하였다. GHA 발매의 그녀의 첫 음반은, 이 스몰맨으로 녹음되었다.
1994년 홍콩,대만,일본을 아우르는 연주회를 성공적으로 마친 그녀는, 1995년 9월 25~29일 이탈리아에서 열린 제28회 알레산드리아 국제 기타 콩쿨에서
2위에 입상하고, 다음해인 1996년 스페인의 크리스티나 국제 콩쿨에서 2등을 수상한다.
동년, 프랑스 국영방송 주최 제27회 파리 국제기타 주간에 초청되어 연주회를 갖게 되며, 뒤이어서 이탈리아, 스페인등 순회연주로 바쁜 일정을 보내고 있다.
2007년 Peabody 음대 특별 장학생으로 초청되어 M.Baruecco 사사 중

Miss Wang Yameng was born in November 2,1981 in Qingdao, Shandong Province, China.
She started to learn guitar with guitar educator Professor Chen Zhi at the age of ten.
Once every week she has to come to Beijing by train for attending guitar class and
it would take her 40 hours to do so.
After two years of study her skill reached a striking level.
In mid-December 1993, under Professor Chen Zhi’s guidance,
she participated the 36th Tokyo International Guitar Competition in Japan.
After three rounds of keen competition, Miss Wang Yameng eventually won the first Prize
triumphing over 52 well trained opponents from more than ten different countries and
regions such as Canada, France, the United States, Italy, Germany, Japan, the
Republic of Korea, Malaysia and Taiwan.
She set a record of the youngest guitar champion at the age of 12
in the international guitar competition and she also set a record of winning a first prize
at her first Participation of an international guitar competition.
In 1994, Miss Wang Yameng held recitals in Hong Kong, Taiwan and Japan.
Miss Wang participated the XXVIII Concorso International Di Chitarra Classica
“CITTA DI ALESSANDRIA” held from Sept. 25th to 29th,
1995 in Italy and won the 2nd prize.
In 1996, Miss Wang Yameng will participated the 27th PARIS International Guitar Week
at the invitation of RADIO FRANCE.
In addition she will make performing tours in Italy, Spain and other countries.
